FULL ESSAY
It is undoubted that the demand for beautification has been growing in many parts of the world in recently years, leading to enormous popularity of plastic surgery. In fact, there are a large number of different causes for this trend; however, I suppose abusing this type of plastic surgery could be largely negative.
It is easy to understand why more and more individuals decide to change their physical appearance in such surgical ways. The first and most obvious motive is that the method helps people build up their confidence. One good illustration is that a famous middle-aged Vietnamese actor, namely Le Giang, has experienced about twenty beauty surgeries in order to satisfy her burning desire for her appealing look. Moreover, a majority of young celebrities come to the artificial beauty as it is likely to bring them fame and fortune. Alongside the materialistic purposes, several patients must undergo the medical treatment to regain their health after incidents of serious burns or car accidents.
Nevertheless, I think the cosmetic beauty should be limited with adequate warnings due to its terrible risks. For instance, some pretty Chinese girls spent a huge sum and ages having various surgeries so that they look like their idol, called Fan Bingbing. The factual figure seems to show that a rising number of young people have improper beauty standards based on social media. Besides, if someone has such beauty options, their health will be severely affected, or even failing surgeries can cause loss of their lives. Jocelyn Wildenstein, whose face became distorted after some cosmetic surgeries, is an outstanding example of the failure.
In short, beautifying is sometimes believed to a justifiable need for self-esteem or wealth, but I am against the widespread prevalence of the cosmetic surgery due to its considerable dangers.
