2. Các câu hỏi thường gặp về Sports

Why are some sports fans so passionate?

I firmly believe that some people will love sports more than other forms of entertainment and competition and they always watch their favorite sports on TV. So it's only natural to watch the enthusiasm of others and cheer for their local teams. Such attachment is a way for them to increase their love for sports.

In my country, many young people are passionate football fans and they have their favorite football team. When their favorite team played, they went to the stadium to show their support. Sports athletes are often idolized by young people and they love to follow the daily activities of their favorite athletes.

Is there any violence at sporting events in your country?

In fact, such violence is very rare in my country. However, disputes between fans of the teams are still quite common and are mostly verbal, not physical. They often take to social networking platforms and blogs to criticize their rivals.

However, there was a very unfortunate event that happened three or four years ago when the fans of both teams got excited and they got into a fight. As a result, three people died from this incident while several others were seriously injured. The security of the stadium has been improved to deal with such unexpected incidents and I hope that will not happen again.

Should athletes be better role models?

Most fans begin to fall in love with an athlete due to the spectacular performance he or she puts on. So world famous soccer players like Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi have millions of fans and many of them start idolizing them without even knowing them.

However, some fans may end up chasing the athletes blindly. Therefore, famous athletes should try to live by the example of thousands of others who are imitating them. Because they are public figures and the media is always watching them anytime, anywhere. Any bad behavior can create scandals for them and they should strive to be a better role model for young people as it is a social and moral responsibility for any celebrity.

What benefits do international sporting events bring?

International sporting events have always had an important meaning, which is to bring nations together and remove tension and hostility between them. Such an event is very popular and can be a great excuse for people to enjoy the competition at the stadium.

In addition, organizing sporting events will promote tourism and help local businesses grow. I think sport has a huge impact on the economy, politics and culture of each country.

Is it important for a country to win lots of medals?

I believe every country wants to win as many titles as possible because it shows how great a country it is in sports. However, in my opinion, being first in medals is considered a great achievement, but it is not absolutely necessary to be a race between countries.

Participation in international sporting events such as the Olympics is often an inspiration for many small countries. A few medals can often satisfy and inspire them. But the most important thing in an international sports competition is that they get to perform and enjoy it, not the number of medals won.

When athletes from all over the world gather on a common playing field, they represent not only their country but also all of humanity and this is crucial to maintaining global peace.
