2. Các câu hỏi thường gặp về Travel

Do you think it’s true that travel broadens the mind?

I agree. Traveling makes you a more open person, as you see ways of living, eating, drinking, interacting with others and it allows you to see your own culture more objectively. It also leads to more experience and makes you more interesting to chat.

Do young people and older people benefit differently from travelling?

I think young people tend to be adventurous and have fun. And older people value relaxation more because they have so many responsibilities at home that what they want more than anything is to turn off their phones while away.

How can you make sure you get the most from your travels?

I always think that learning about the language of the country you are going to is the best possible way to fully benefit from your stay. That way, locals are less likely to see you as an outsider but as someone who has made an effort to learn some words and expressions, as well as have an interest in their culture.

What are the positive impacts of tourism?

They are very diverse. Tourism brings investment and better infrastructure to poorer communities. This means that tourists find it easier to get around, but it also leads to an improved quality of life for locals. It also provides greater employment opportunities for the local community. For example, in the past, they could have both fished or farmed, but tourism opens up the possibility of higher employment.

What about the negative impacts of tourism?

I have seen areas where large numbers of visitors have an adverse effect on local habitats. For example, coral reefs in the Caribbean. It's really tragic. The best solution, in regards to wildlife, would be to ban tourism for a few decades for the coral reefs to recover, but of course, the local economy must rely on tourism and there will be a disturbance. mix if the government takes that drastic option.

How has tourism impacted tourist sites in your country?

I think with the advantages of tourist sites, my country is a destination that attracts a lot of tourists and that brings a lot of benefits to the country, both economically and socially. For example, small souvenir shops now have a larger customer base because of the number of visitors to our temples.
