2. Bài mẫu IELTS Writing Task 2 topic History

It is more important for schoolchildren to learn about local history than world history. To what extent to you agree or disagree?

To be sure, the study of home history is an integral part of school curricula in all countries.

I believe that having insights into what happened in a person's local past develops his patriotism. For example, children in my village are taught how their ancestors defended their land against foreign invaders and reclaimed sovereignty. As a result, children will feel proud of their roots and appreciate the life they know today. Also, I think it is not only the privilege of students but also their responsibility to know about their own history to understand the values and traditional identity of their homeland.

On the other hand, learning about world history is just as important as local history. Gaining knowledge of the world's past events equips students with a more holistic perspective on life. Lessons from the World War or the Feminist protest against the abuse and discrimination of women will help learners improve their understanding of different aspects of the world . Furthermore, I think that being taught the historical context of other countries will benefit young learners in their future careers. Students who accumulate knowledge of this particular field from an early age will have a golden opportunity to work for foreign businesses, especially those countries that value company culture such as Japan.

In conclusion, I believe that it is impossible to compare the importance of domestic and international history to see which is more necessary because they are equally important and equally important.
