1. COMPARATIVES
Form1: Short Adj/ Adv
S1 + V + ADJ/ ADV-ER + THAN + (S2 + AUX) O2
Eg.: Today is hotter than yesterday.
Form 2: Long Adj/ Adv
S1 + V + MORE + ADJ/ ADV + THAN + (S2 + AUX) O2
Eg.: This area is more attractive than other areas I’ve known.
Form 3: Less
S1 + V + LESS+ ADJ/ ADV + THAN + (S2 + AUX) O2
Eg: This area is less attractive than other areas I’ve known.
Form 4: Emphasis (Short Adj/ Adv)
S1 + V + much/ so far/ a little ADJ/ ADV-ER + THAN + (S2 + AUX) O2
Eg: Today is much hotter than yesterday.
Form 5: Emphasis (Long Adj/ Adv)
S1 + V + much/ so far/ a little MORE + ADJ/ ADV + THAN + (S2 + AUX) O2
Eg: This area is so far more attractive than other areas I’ve known.
Form 6: Emphasis (Less)

Form 7: (Càng .... càng....)
The + Comparative + S1 + V1, The + Comparative + S2 + V2.
Eg.1: The hotter the weather is, the more uncomfortable people feel.
Eg.2: The heavier coffee is, the more awake the drinker becomes.
Eg.3: The shorter the homework is, the more difficult it is.

2. SUPERLATIVES
Form 1: Short Adj/ Adv

Eg.1: He runs the fastest in my class.
Eg.2: This cup of water is the coldest.
Form 2: Long Adj/ Adv:
S + V + the most/ least + Adj/ Adv.
Eg.: To me, that person is the most special.
3. OTHER FORMS:
Form 1: S + prefer + V1-ing + to + V2-ing.
Eg.: She prefers watching movies to listening to music.
Form 2: S + would prefer to + V1 + rather than + V2.
Eg.: She would prefer to watch movies rather than listen to music.
